Our desire is to teach God’s Word to children of all ages so that the young people in our church have greater knowledge of our Lord and His Word. We pray that through biblical teaching, with emphasis on the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, the children and teens would come to saving faith in Christ alone.
We also desire to encourage fellowship among the families in our church. We undertake several outings each year such as a family camping trip, a fall family fun night, gingerbread house building, and a family picnic. We also participate in several service projects together such as assisting at our church’s clothing giveaway, and helping with the church’s annual grounds cleanup. We also have clothing and food drives to benefit those in need.
Your child’s safety is important to us. Children attending any of our children’s ministries are signed in by a children’s ministry staff member and will only be released to a family member with a receipt that matches each child’s unique identification number. The children get a name tag to wear on their back so they are easily identified by staff. We also record any special medical information or allergies on the child’s name tag to ensure that any staff member working with the child is fully aware of any special needs that your child may have so we can safely and effectively minister to your child. Also, in an effort to protect your child, all of our children’s ministry workers undergo an application and interview process as well as background screening conducted by the Children’s Ministry Coordinator.
We have partnered with Word of Life Local Church Ministries to bring a ministry of biblical teaching to the young people of High Point Baptist Church. In addition to the study of God’s Word, we encourage Christian service and fellowship through our Word of Life clubs.

Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 AM from September through June.
Our early learners class is a safe developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 3 through kindergarten. In this class we focus on teaching Bible stories through use of a curriculum by Regular Baptist Press. We structure the class so children learn to listen to a Bible story and interact with their teacher. The students then complete a hands-on learning activity to reinforce the Biblical truths they learned in the story.
Junior Church and Church Time Early Learners
Our Junior Church and Early Learners Church Time Class use the Generations of Grace Teaching material that was developed by Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. This material focuses on teaching through the Old Testament historical books, the life of Christ, and lessons from Acts and Revelation every three years.
