Law Enforcement Appreciation Sunday

We live in a culture that is quickly accelerating in its promotion of evil. Crime is celebrated, while those who risk their lives to maintain the law are treated with contempt. This comes as no surprise to us. Mankind is filled with “all unrighteousness, wickedness, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice…” and not only do they do those things, but they “also give hearty approval to those who practice them” (Rom. 1:29, 32). However, as Christians, we have a mandate to obey our law-enforcing governing authorities (Rom. 13:2). In fact, the Bible even calls them “ministers of God” (Rom. 13:4). Therefore, out of recognition for the difficult and dangerous work of law enforcement officers, and understanding the many sacrifices they have made, we wish to honor those who promote justice, protect life, and preserve our safety in a tangible way as we express our gratitude, appreciation, and support for them.

You are invited to join us at High Point Baptist Church for Law Enforcement Appreciation Sunday on October 11th at 10:30 AM.

Officers from all Law Enforcement branches are welcome to join us for a special message and service, followed by lunch at Noon for all officers and their families. There will also be a special gift awarded to all officers who attend in uniform.

Please RSVP for the event by October 1st by using the form below, or by contacting our church office at 570-371-4404.
